SHCG launches 'Object Lessons'
SHCG will be launching its 'Object Lessons' scheme on 24th June 2008.
Object Lessons is a new series of resources designed by SHCG with funding from MLA to help you develop your skills and confidence in identifying and caring for core materials found in social history collections. Each resource is made up of a loans box of museum objects with an accompanying written pack which guides you through the basic principles of identifying and caring for metals, wood and plastics.
The launch will take place within a networking meeting for Museums North Social History Panel.
Further details on ‘Object Lessons’ will be mailed to SHCG members in due course - or check the SHCG website in July for further information.
